The Safe 2 Tell program is a state sponsored program that allows parents and children to anonymously report unsafe behavior they witness or experience. Any reports that are made go to local law enforcement and the school.
Students at Rice have been learning about the program and how to determine when a report is appropriate. It is sometimes difficult for children to differentiate between "bullying" behavior and unkind behavior. We take seriously our responsibility to teach not only academics, but also appropriate, kind behavior. We encourage our students to always report a problem to school staff or parents anytime they feel unsafe.
If you have any questions, please feel free to call the school and speak with Dr. Koehn, Mrs. Duve', Mrs. Sadd, or your child's teacher.
