I have been teaching since 2006 and at Rice Elementary School since 2022. I love being part of the Raptor family. I have taught in Michigan, Florida and Colorado. I have experience in 3rd, 4th and 6th grade, as well as being an instructional para in elementary reading intervention. I am also certified to teach K-12 Visual Arts in Colorado.
I am originally from southeast Michigan. I attended Oakland University in Rochester, MI where I studied Art History and Journalism. I was also a member of the Division I Women's Swimming Team. In 2004, I attended Madonna University in Livonia, MI where I obtained Post-Baccalaureate teacher certification in Elementary Education and Art Education. I am a Level 2 certified US Masters Swimming Coach.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family. I can be found around town participating in FAST Masters Swimming and the Fort Collins Running Club. I enjoy reading, podcasts, gardening, travel, DIY projects, a good Netflix binge and exploring the beautiful mountains we have right outside our backdoor.
