What I love most about working at Rice Elementary:
There are so many reasons I love working at Rice; we are all here for the kids! The incredible staff is fun, supportive, and experts in their field. Meeting and working with families and students is another reason I absolutely love being a Rice Raptor!
Favorite Children’s Book/Author:
So many books, so little time! My favorite children's book include: The Year of Billy Miller, The World According to Humphrey, Charlotte's Web, and any book by Kate DiCamillo. My favorite series is Harry Potter. I used to reserve the book and wait in line at midnight at Barnes & Noble when the newest book be released!
Hometown:
I was born and raised in Goshen, Indiana. I attended Indiana University in Bloomington for college and lived there for 11 years before moving to Fort Collins in 2008.
Interests/Hobbies:
I love anything that is outdoors or involves animals...if it includes both, I'm definitely in! Every weekend you will find me camping up in Rist Canyon. While I'm camping I enjoy reading, archery, dirt biking, hiking, identifying native plants and animal tracks, and taking loads of photographs. If I'm not up camping, I enjoy riding my bike, playing/hiking with my dog, kayaking, swimming, reading, and spending time with friends.
A little more about me:
I am so happy to be at Rice starting my twelfth year of teaching! I look forward to meeting and working with each and every student and family throughout the year and many years to come.
My Classroom
About My Classroom:

Our classroom is an inviting place where we take risks, solve problems, ask questions, work hard, challenge ourselves, support each other, set goals and take steps to reach them, all while having fun!
