B.A. in Biology, Macalester College, St. Paul, MN
What I love most about working at Rice Elementary:
I am fortunate to have the chance to work with all grade levels of students in various settings throughout the school, and so I am able to get to know most of the kids here at Rice. And since I have been on staff here for eight years, I have also had the privilege of working with students over a period of several years, watching them grow in their learning and develop into outstanding young people.
Favorite Children’s Book/Author:
The Hobbit by J.R..R. Tolkien, Winnie-the-Pooh by A.A. Milne, Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl
Reading, collecting children's books, hiking, gardening, basketball
A little more about me:
I am married, have one son, and live in a co-housing community (an intentional community with shared community space) in northwest Fort Collins. I grew up (mostly) in Colorado, lived in the Twin Cities (MN), Chicago, and then the Los Angeles area for many years, and moved back to Colorado in 2007.
