I am so excited to be a part of Rice's Intervention Team. My passion is helping children learn to love reading as much as I do. My enjoyment of teaching youth stemmed from  giving the gift of reading to my two wonderful boys when they were young and through working as a teacher helper in their schools. I later earned my masters degree in Education and have worked in many schools as a classroom teacher in various grades from 1st grade to 5th grade. Outside of school, I love to camp, hike, swim, and enjoy the arts.
