I'm so excited to be back for another year as a Rice Raptor! I moved to Colorado from Massachusetts in 2019 with my family after two of my own children came out for college and we all fell in love with this beautiful state! I taught First Grade and Integrated Second Grade for many years, before jumping up to Third Grade when I came to Rice. When I'm not at school, I enjoy hiking, kayaking, long walks with my dog Daisy (who you will get to meet!), and spending time with my husband and our four children. I also volunteer for HABIC at CSU, where Daisy was trained as a therapy dog and we now visit schools and hospitals together where Daisy gets lots of love and pats! Teaching is my passion and I love building a little family of caring, compassionate learners.
