About Me

Education
A.A. in General Studies with a History emphasis. Currently pursuing teacher licensure and a B.A. in Special Education at the University of Northern Colorado (Become a Teacher program).

What I Love Most About Working at Rice Elementary
The people. Our kids, staff, and families make Rice feel like a true community. Kindness, inclusion, and teamwork show up every day, and that fills my heart.

Hometown
Born in Marrero, LA and raised in Lafitte, LA. I’ve also lived in Arlington, TX and Bossier City, LA. I’ve called Wellington, CO home since 2022.

Interests & Hobbies
Spending time with family and friends, cheering on my son at his Unified sporting events, painting and creating art, journaling, writing a children’s book in my spare time, photography, reading, loving on animals, and volunteering.

A Little More About Me
I’m an Integrated Services Paraprofessional I supporting K–5 students in Rice’s multi-categorical program. This is my fourth year with PSD and at Rice. I’m passionate about helping students grow—academically, socially, and behaviorally—using calm, consistent supports and lots of positive encouragement. I’m also a proud mom to my teenage son, Lawson, who inspires my work every day. Moving to Colorado has been a beautiful new chapter, and I’m excited to keep learning and serving our Rice community for years to come.
