My name is Melissa Duve', Principal of Rice Elementary.  I have been an educator for over 20 years and this year marks my eighth year as an administrator at Rice.  I earned my Bachelor's of Arts degree from Utah State University (go Aggies) and a Master's degree in Educational Leadership from Colorado State University.  My teaching experience includes 1st grade, 3rd grade, and reading intervention.  It is an honor to serve in a profession that allows me to influence learning and leadership. Rice is truly an amazing school community.

I grew up in Cheyenne and am a proud Wyoming native.  When I am not at school, I enjoy being with my two grandchildren,  spending time with family and friends, cooking, traveling, shopping, and listening to music.
