In 2008, I moved to Colorado after graduating with a Master's Degree from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. Before teaching, I was a veterinarian technician for several years, and still have a passion for all animals. I taught 4th grade for six years and eight years in 2nd grade, five of those here at Rice. When people ask me what I liked more, I honestly can't give an answer, and that is just one reason I've pursued the Media/Technology Specials position...so I can work with ALL of the kids! Teaching is a career like no other, we laugh together, learn and grow together, and there is never a dull moment. I'm looking forward to being a Rice Raptor for many, many years to come!
When I'm not at school you will most likely find me outdoors reading, taking photographs, hiking, kayaking, paddle boarding, and enjoying the wildlife that Colorado has to offer with my pup, Walter. I also love to travel and have been lucky enough to travel to many exciting places like Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Italy, England, Mexico, Alaska, and more. I look forward to exploring more of the world on future adventures.
