My name is Annie Dillard and I'm so excited to join the Rice family this year!  My husband Seth and I have one daughter, Estie, and a cat named George. 

I grew up in the small town where my dad was born and then, after graduation, moved to Iowa City where I lived until June!  I attended the University of Iowa to get my bachelor's and master's degrees.  After I graduated from college I worked as a paramedic for five years.  Then I taught first, second, and third grade combined until I  transferred to our neighborhood school to join Estie in second grade.  I worked there for 16 years!  I look forward to getting to know the Rice community and feel lucky to be a part of such a great staff!
