Hello Rice School Family!



I am so excited to be teaching at Rice this year. This year is my 15th year teaching special education. I spent 9 years teaching at the middle school level and the last 5 in elementary. My mom was a teacher for the Deaf and Heard of Hearing for over 30 years. She inspired me to pursue a career in special education. My husband Chad and I have 3 kids, T-Nyla 16, Sawyer 14, and Lily 7. We also have 2 dogs Huckleberry and Maggie, as well as 1 hamster, 2 fish, and 2 bunnies.



A few fun facts about me. I was a tap dancer from the age of 2-19, and when I was in high school I was my schools mascot, a Saint Bernard. Some things I love are baseball/softball, trucks, reading, live music, outdoors, and barbeque. 

I am looking forward to learning and growing with my students. I will work hard to empower them all to be leaders in our school. Here's to a great school year! Go Raptors!
