Hello!
My name is Mary Miller and I am thrilled to be teaching art this year at Rice- this will be my second official year in teaching! I grew up in east Texas and graduated from the University of Wyoming in May 2024 with a B.A. in Art Education after having graduated in 2021 with a B.A. in Art. In between degrees, I substituted and taught art lessons in Wyoming and decided quickly that I needed to be sharing my passion for art full time. If you were to ask me my favorite medium, at the moment, I would say watercolor but truthfully- I enjoy every medium I have been fortunate enough to work with and always love learning new techniques and practices. Aside from teaching and making art, you can find me outdoors hiking, backpacking, running, mountain/road biking, skiing, or simply exploring colorful Colorado.
I am excited for a great year connecting with students, staff, and the community!
