Hello!

My name is Morgan Smith and I was born and raised in Fort Collins, Colorado, where I was a Tavelli Tiger, Lincoln Lancer, and graduated as an Impala from Poudre High School. I graduated from the University of Wyoming in 2022 with a B.A. in Elementary Education and a concentration in Creative Arts. Go Pokes! Currently, I am pursuing my master's degree in Educational Psychology at the University of Northern Colorado. For the past two years, I've had the privilege of teaching 5th grade, and this year, I'm thrilled to be working with a fantastic group of 4th graders.

I believe that every student can be a leader. At Rice, we emphasize the importance of showing SOAR and by fostering these values, we create an environment where all students can take initiative, collaborate with their peers, and develop the confidence to achieve their goals. Together, we ensure that everyone has the opportunity to shine.

In my free time, I enjoy long-distance running, traveling, reading, and adventuring outside with my friends and family. I love being part of the Rice community and I am looking forward to a great year in 4th grade!
